Yesterday, THE FF… EXPRESS asked:

**AI CAN ACT, ADAPT, DECEIVE AND HELP BUILD BETTER AI. SO WHO IS ACTUALLY IN CONTROL?**   
  
Twenty-four hours later, Washington has an answer—or at least a new fucking **task force** to figure one out.  
  
The White House has created a **Super Intelligence Force**, led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. The group has 120 days to assess the risks and opportunities presented by increasingly capable AI systems and recommend what role the federal government should play.  
  
**Apparently Washington read past the fucking headline—and couldn’t give us twenty-four fucking hours.**  
  
[Yesterday](https://the-ff-express.ghost.io/ai-making-better-ai-si/) we were looking at the government’s deliberate shift from talking about **artificial intelligence** to talking about **super intelligence**.  
  
Today, **Super Intelligence has its own federal task force.**

No, that doesn’t mean somebody switched on a superintelligence overnight.

It means the terminology just moved another step—from a presidential order into an actual government structure charged with figuring out what comes next.
